Organic French Wines

Domaine Armand David

The Domaine Armand David vineyard, cherished by four generations in Saumur, lies in one of France’s premier wine regions. In their historic Tuffeau stone cellars, they craft a diverse range of wines, perfect for both casual tasting and refined enjoyment. Among their offerings, the Siebrit Cabernet Franc shines with fresh notes of black cherries, currants, and raspberries, followed by layers of tobacco, pepper, and a hint of dark chocolate. Their L’Enchanteur, a pure Chenin Blanc, opens with crisp aromas of pear, green apple, and white peach. As it breathes, the wine’s elegant minerality evolves into a creamy texture, giving it superb balance and a lingering finish. These wines take the planet into consideration every step of the way, and are both lovely, medium bodied additions to an end of summer wine list.

Gönc Winery Cuvée Anna Rosé

Gönc Winery’s legacy dates back to 1936 near Dobrovnik, Slovenia, when Peter Gönc’s great-grandfather built their first cellar. Over the years, the family moved to Ptuj, where Peter’s grandfather rose to lead Slovenia’s oldest winery, now known as Pullus. Reviving the Gönc name in the family’s original vineyards, Peter focuses on organic farming and low-sulfite wines that remain stable even after opening. Their Cuvée Anna rosé, named after Peter’s grandmother, is a bright, Provence-style wine with aromas of wild berries, strawberries, melon, and peach, delivering a fruity, refreshing finish with the cool minerality of northeast Slovenia. Fun fact: Slovenia is home to the world’s oldest living vine, Žametna črnina, which is over 375 years old! Get this beautiful rose in your glass before it’s all gone!

Famille Lieubeau Folle Blanche

Famille Lieubeau farms over 40 hectares on the Atlatic coast in Loire, France. With certified organic practices and low yields across their vineyards, their wines truly express the character of the terroir. Among these, their Folle Blanche, made from 50-year-old vines on granite near Clisson, stands out as a bright and mineral-driven profile. Consider it the rustic counterpart to the Bel Abord—an ideal start to a meal with oysters, offering a delicious taste of this unique Loire Valley tradition. This is a white wine that will carry all the way through to cold weather.

Domaine Marion Pral Beaujolais Rosé

In the heart of the Pays des Pierres Dorées at the southern tip of Beaujolais, Domaine Marion Pral practices eco-friendly farming on 45 acres of vines. Located in the hamlet of La Roche in Saint-Laurent-d’Oingt, the estate has been family-run for generations under the care of Pascal Chatelus and Marion Pral. Their vineyards thrive on granite-based, south-facing hillside soils, and all grapes are hand-harvested. One highlight is their small-production rosé, crafted from old-vine Gamay. It boasts a delicate pink hue with aromas of white flowers, rosehips, and red fruits. On the palate, it’s fresh and silky, with a fruity, mineral finish. The perfect wine to enjoy during the “pre-fall” season!

Organic Italian Wines

Bruno Giacometto - New Brand!

Bruno Giacometto is renowned for his exceptional natural wines made from Erbaluce, a high-acid white grape native to northern Piedmont. His passion for Erbaluce is so profound that he humorously claims it is his only love. Erbaluce di Caluso, the first white-wine DOC in Piedmont (established in 1967 and elevated to DOCG status in 2010), covers Erbaluce from the Caluso region, noted for producing Italy’s finest Erbaluce wines. With deep roots in Caluso and a winemaking tradition dating back to the 1960s, Bruno feels most at home among his pergola-trained Erbaluce vineyards, though he also cultivates small plots of native reds like Nebbiolo, Barbera, Neretto, and Freisa. Since 2019, his estate has been certified organic by ICEA. It’s time to revisit Erbaluce – this unique and beautiful grape makes some of the most outstanding white wines we’ve tasted recently.

Angelo Negro

Since 1670, the Negro family has been cultivating vineyards in the Roero hills of Piedmont. Renowned for their exceptional sites, Negro has become a legend in the area. Giovanni Negro crafted the first dry Roero Arneis in 1971, and today, his son Angelo continues the tradition, focusing on native grapes like Arneis and Nebbiolo. The family’s sandy, fossil-rich vineyards in Monteu Roero and their careful vineyard and cellar practices produce wines that are both precise and soulful. The estate now practices organic farming across 70 hectares. Since 2016, Angelo Negro has been a leading member of the The Green Experience. This certifying body’s primary objectives are the conservation of healthy soil and biodiversity, the enhancement of unique regional production methods, and the preservation of the UNESCO-protected hills of the Langhe, the Roero, and Monferrato.

The estate released its first bottle of Barolo in 1878 and now owns prized parcels in some of Barolo’s most prestigious crus. Their 35 hectares include top sites like Bussia in Monforte d’Alba, Brunate in La Morra, Vignarionda in Serralunga, and more across the Langhe and Asti regions. Still guided by Giacomo Oddero, the estate is now managed by the sixth and seventh generations—his daughters Mariavittoria and Mariacristina, along with their children Isabella and Pietro. Organic Spanish Wines

Casa Castillo Jumilla

José Maria, the third-generation owner of Casa Castillo, has transformed the former rosemary plantation into Jumilla’s leading estate. Originally purchased by his grandfather in 1941, the property featured a winery and vineyards dating back to the 1870s. In 1985, José and his father replanted the vineyards, and by 1991, they released their first vintage. Now fully organic, the estate focuses on traditional winemaking with hand-harvested grapes, whole-cluster fermentation, and aging in concrete and neutral oak. The Casa Castillo Jumilla, a blend of 60% Monastrell with Garnacha and Syrah, highlights younger vines and showcases a balanced expression of the region’s warm climate. The wine offers aromas of dark fruits like plums, blackberries, and cherries, with hints of leather and smoke. For an enhanced experience, a brief chill makes this wine especially enjoyable by the glass.

Espelt Old Vine Garnacha

Espelt is located in the Emporda region of Spain, an amphitheater overlooking the sea, encircled by mountains and natural parks. They embrace their privileged environment by practicing organic farming to ensure their vines grow in harmony with the land. The estate features a diverse mosaic of vineyards across different orientations, microclimates, and locations, from productive plains to restored dry-stone terraces. Espelt’s commitment to local varieties, such as Grenache, Carignan, and Muscat, allows them to craft wines that authentically reflect their terroirs. Espelt’s Old Vine Garnacha comes from the highest elevation vineyard, Rabós, in the Alberes Nature Reserve. These century-old vines, growing in sandy slate and granite soils, produce a wine with notable depth and minerality. Unlike many fruit-forward Garnachas, this cuvée offers a rich complexity that showcases the unique character of old-vine Garnacha. Winemaker Anna’s minimal intervention means this wine is full of flavor and complexity.

Equipo Navazos Sherry

Most Sherry today is made on an industrial scale for consistency, but Equipo Navazos embraces the uniqueness of each discovery they bottle. Their releases, numbered as “La Bota #…,” each have their own origin and personality, spanning a wide stylistic range. They work mainly with Palomino Fino in the Sherry Triangle, but also partner in Montilla-Moriles, known for Pedro Ximénez. Their unorthodox methods reconnect the region to its pre-industrial roots, producing rare bottlings like unfortified Palomino Fino aged under flor and the nearly forgotten “fino amontillado.” Despite their world-class complexity and depth, Equipo Navazos remains surprisingly accessible for everyone to explore these extraordinary wines.

Hacienda Monasterio Ribera del Duero Cosecha

Hacienda Monasterio has been a leader in Ribera del Duero since its founding in 1991, blending regional power with elegance and finesse. Under the guidance of Peter Sisseck, who joined early on and is also known for his groundbreaking work with Pingus, the estate has continually evolved. Sisseck has introduced native fermentations, experimented with whole clusters, and adopted larger French oak barrels while enhancing the vineyard with Tempranillo and Tinto Fino. These innovations have refined the wines, which now showcase the signature complex aromas of orange peel and black olive with added precision and accessibility, making them more approachable upon release. The Cosecha, in addition to Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, includes small percentages of Merlot and Malbec. It is aged for at least 12 months (more frequently, closer to 18 months) in neutral French oak barrels. We get this organically made wine every two years or so in limited quantities – it makes a very very special addition to any wine list for the holiday season.

Organic Ciders

Galipette Cider

The rugged coast of northwest France, with its lush apple orchards, is where Galipette ciders come from. Using traditional methods like keeving, which allows wild yeast to convert just some of the apple’s sugar into alcohol, they create a crisp Brut and a tangy organic Biologique, preserving the apples’ natural sweetness and adding rich tannins for a balanced flavor. Presented in stylish retro bottles, these naturally gluten-free, vegan ciders with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners can be enjoyed straight or over ice. The name “Galipette,” meaning somersault in French, reflects the fun and relaxation we hope you experience with every sip of this timeless French cider.

The cider’s cheerful spice notes and lively bubbles create a perfect balance of tart and sweet apple flavors.
